Account data: Email address (for account creation and API key delivery).
Payment data: Processed by Authorize.net, with Stripe used only as a limited backup processor when explicitly offered. We do not store raw card numbers on our servers.
Usage data: API query counts, account status, and operational logs needed to run the service.
Library state: Continue-reading history, bookmarks, favorites, highlights, and related shelf state may be stored in browser local storage on your device. If you sign in, that state may also sync to your account.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We do not sell, share, or trade your data with any third party for advertising. We do not store raw payment card numbers on our servers.
Authorize.net: Primary payment processing. Subject to Authorize.net's privacy policy.
Stripe: Backup payment processing when explicitly used for a transaction.
Amazon Associates: Affiliate links. Amazon sets its own cookies when you click.
Google Fonts: Font loading. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
You may request a full export of your data at any time. You may request deletion of your data at any time — we comply within 30 days. You may opt out of any communications. You may cancel your subscription at any time. These rights apply regardless of jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, or otherwise).
API keys are generated using cryptographically secure random bytes. All connections are encrypted via TLS 1.2+. User data is stored on encrypted volumes. We follow industry-standard security practices.
Active accounts: data retained for the duration of the subscription. Cancelled accounts: data deleted within 30 days of cancellation unless a longer period is required for payment disputes or fraud prevention. Browser local storage remains under your control on your device until you clear it. API logs and query counts are retained only as needed for operations, abuse prevention, and billing support.
