This jacket can be made of the same materia! as the skirt, or else of black silk. It is trimmed with braid, velvet, or bands of leather, and a narrow fluted ruffle of the material of the jacket. The coiffure is one of the latest styles, and suitable for a young lady.

DEESS FOE A YOUNG LADY.
It is made of amethyst-colored silk. The skirt is trimmed with four flounces edged with black lace. A graduated piece of black lace, trimmed with lace, velvet, and buttons, extends down the front of the dress, and five sash-like strips of different lengths are arranged round the skirt. The girdle and bretelles are also of black silk, trimmed with laee and velvet.
